Rajasthan the Venice of India is set to get a massive £200 million investment

Good news for Rajasthan, because the Indian state is set to get a huge injection of funds. The conglomerate Tata has joined forces with the Shanghai Urban Construction Group and a whopping 16.76 billion Indian rupees is being put into the project (that’s nearly £200 million). The money will be used to rejuvenate the Dravyawati River, making it into a tourist hotspot as well as preventing the flooding of the surrounding areas by October 2018. Rajasthan is India’s largest state and occupies the north-western side of the country. Known as the Land of Kings, and is known for it’s spectacular buildings and lakes. One thing Rajasthan definitely knows how to do, and that’s architecture. From knock-out palaces, gigantic forts and beautiful temples – all laden with history.
