Kottayam: At a time when names of film stars were doing the rounds for candidature in the assemble election, young actor Unni Mukundran took part in the voter awareness programme conducted by the district administration as part of the SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation).
The actor spoke about the importance of exercising one’s franchise. The programme, led assistant collector Dr Divya S Aiyer , was held at Kottayam Institute of Technology and Science (KITS) Institute director Jojy Thomas presided over the function. Principal Dr N premachadran and vice principal Anothy Mathew spoke. As part of the SVEEP, classes were held for literacy workers at Saksharatha Bhavan . The Assistant Collector inaugurated the programme. DIET principal C Sasidharan Nair presided over. Information –Public Relations Department regional deputy director C Abdul Rasheed, Saksharatha Mission district coordinator among others participated in the function.
